【摘要】:TestMethodAisthemostfrequentlyusedinleaktestingcomponentswhicharestructurallycapableofbeingevacuatedtopressuresof0.1Pa(approximately10x2212;3torr).Testingofsmallcomponentscanbecorrelatedtocalibratedleaks,andtheactualleakratecanbemeasuredoracceptancecanbebasedonamaximumallowableleak.Formostproductionneedsacceptanceisbasedonacceptanceofpartsleakinglessthananestablishedstandardwhichwillensuresafeperformanceovertheprojectedlifeofthecomponent.Caremustbeexercisedtoensurethatlargesystemsarecalibratedwithreferenceleakatarepresentativeplaceonthetestvolume.Leakratesaredeterminedbycalculatingthenetgainorlossthroughaleakinthetestpartthatwouldcausefailureduringtheexpectedlifeofthedevice.TestMethodBisusedfortestingvacuumsystemseitherasastepinthefinaltestofanewsystemorasamaintenancepracticeonequipmentusedformanufacturing,environmentaltestorforconditioningparts.Asthevolumetendstobelarge,acheckoftheresponsetimeaswellassystemsensitivityshouldbemade.VolumeofthesysteminlitersdividedbythespeedofthevacuumpumpinL/swillgivetheresponsetimetoreach63%ofthetotalsignal.Responsetimesinexcessofafewsecondsmakesleakdetectiondifficult.TestMethodCistobeusedonlywhenthereisnoconvenientmethodofconnectingtheleakdetectortotheoutletofthehighvacuumpump.Ifaheliumleakdetectorisusedandthehighvacuumpumpisanionpumporcryopump,leaktestingisbestaccomplishedduringtheroughingcycleasthesepumpsleavearelativelyhighpercentageofheliuminthehighvacuumchamber.Thiswillobscureallbutlargeleaks,andthetracegaswillquicklysaturatethepumps.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverproceduresfortestingandlocatingthesourcesofgasleakingattherateof4.51014mol/s(1109Stdcm3/s)orgreater.Thetestmaybeconductedonanyobjecttobetestedthatcanbeevacuatedandtotheothersideofwhichheliumorothertracergasmaybeapplied.1.2Threetestmethodsaredescribed:1.2.1TestMethodA-Fortheobjectundertestcapableofbeingevacuated,buthavingnoinherentpumpingcapability.1.2.2TestMethodB-Fortheobjectundertestwithintegralpumpingcapability.1.2.3TestMethodC-FortheobjectundertestasinTestMethodB,inwhichthevacuumpumpsoftheobjectundertestreplacethosenormallyusedintheleakdetector.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Aspecifichazardstatementcanbefoundin.
