【摘要】:Thistestmethodcanbeusedtodeterminetheappearanceofpropagatingfracturesinplaincarbonorlow-alloypipesteels(yieldstrengthslessthan825MPaor120000psi)overthetemperaturerangewherethefracturemodechangesfrombrittle(cleavageorflat)toductile(shearoroblique).Thistestmethodcanservethefollowingpurposes:3.2.1Forresearchanddevelopment,tostudytheeffectofmetallurgicalvariablessuchascompositionorheattreatment,oroffabricatingoperationssuchasweldingorformingonthemodeoffracturepropagation.3.2.2Forevaluationofmaterialsforservicetoindicatethesuitabilityofamaterialforspecificapplicationsbyindicatingfracturepropagationbehaviorattheservicetemperature(s).3.2.3Forinformationorspecificationpurposes,toprovideamanufacturingqualitycontrolonlywhensuitablecorrelationshavebeenestablishedwithservicebehavior.1.1Thistestmethodcoversdrop-weightteartests(DWTT)onferriticsteelswiththicknessesbetween3.18and19.1mm(0.125and0.750in.).1.2ThevaluesstatedinSI(metric)unitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
