【摘要】:Nonylphenol,octylphenol,andbisphenolAhavebeenshowntohavetoxiceffectsinaquaticorganisms.Thesourceofnonylphenolandoctylphenolisprominentlyfromtheuseofcommoncommercialsurfactants.ThemostwidelyusedsurfactantisNPEOwhichhasanaverageethoxylatechainof9molofethoxylate.TheethoxylatechainisreadilybiodegradedtoformNP1EOandNP2EO,nonylphenolcarboxylate(NPEC)and,underanaerobicconditions,nonylphenol.Nonylphenolwillalsobiodegrade,butmaybereleasedintoenvironmentalwatersdirectlyattracelevels.Thismethodhasbeeninvestigatedforusewithsurfacewaterandwastetreatmenteffluentsamplesandisapplicabletothesematrices.Ithasnotbeeninvestigatedforusewithsaltwaterorsolidsamplematrices.1.1Thistestmethodcoversdeterminationofnonylphenol(NP),nonylphenolethoxylate(NP1EO),nonylphenoldiethoxylate(NP2EO),octylphenol(OP),andbisphenolA(BPA)thatarepartitionedintoorganicsolvent,separatedusinggaschromatographyanddetectedwithmassselectivedetection.Thesecompoundsorisomermixturesarequalitativelyandquantitativelydeterminedbythismethod.Thismethodadherestoselectedionmonitoringmassspectrometrybutfullscanmassspectrometryhasalsobeenshowntoworkwellundertheseconditions.Eitheranalysismaybeused.1.2Themethoddetectionlimit(MDL)reportinglimit(RL)forNP,NP1EO,NP2EO,OP,andBPAarelistedinTable1.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesandtodeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
